Apple Working on iPhone Subscription Service, Could Launch by Year End: Mark Gurman

Apple’s hardware subscription service will be very different from its current iPhone Upgrade Programme, which is available in certain countries. It will essentially let buyers subscribe to Apple hardware instead of purchasing them outright.
